If your Volkswagen is still within the original three-year warranty and has covered less than 60,000 miles, you can purchase 12 months of warranty and roadside assistance cover to take effect as soon as the original warranty expires. This will provide extensive cover so that your car is protected against the cost of parts and labour caused by any sudden component failure*, and Volkswagen Assistance. An unlimited mileage option or a 15,000 mileage option is available depending on how many miles you cover.
* Exclusions apply as follows
- Outine servicing (all parts replaced associated with routine servicing are excluded)
- All bodywork and glass
- Wear and perishable items as follows:
- All adjustments, timing or cleaning
- Batteries
- Bulbs and fuses
- Exhaust system (catalytic converters are covered)
- Interior and exterior trims
- Non-genuine manufacturer's parts
- Tyres and wheels
- Un-encased drive belts
- Wiper blades and arms
- Wiring and connections (including HT leads and aerial co-axial cables)
- Worn brake discs, drums and frictional material
- Worn clutch pressure plates, bearings and frictional material

Note: If your Volkswagen is a personal import of UK specification, you’ll only be covered by the warranty applicable in the country of purchase. You can add a warranty extension at any time within the two years of your warranty, taking your cover to a full three years.
